When an opponent has a custom skin which has not yet downloaded to the cache folder on your computer, their boat appears with what is often referred to as the 'default skin' for that model. Unfortunately the default skins have opaque sails. This can be frustrating because they can block your view at critical moments such as a mark rounding or close sailing on a downwind run. There is a solution! By replacing the original files in the game these default opaque sails can be replaced by transparent sails.
There are (at least) two different solutions to editing the default skins available.
